Esquire proudly presents you August digital cover with Veronika Mudra a CEO and a founder of the White Ribbon USA a nonprofit organization that fights domestic violence and gender based discrimination towards women and girls. Veronika is also a mother, and a refugee. After being a victim of domestic violence and getting asylum in the US, fighting domestic violence, racism and discrimination towards women has become a purpose of her life.
White Ribbon USA is developing the first in the US mobile application of a full cycle of help for domestic violence victims and several other innovative unique solutions that will impact more than 10 million women in the US and will advance White Ribbon mission to end discrimination and violence towards women. Veronika Mudra assembled a team of experienced partners and passionate professionals, mostly composed of women of diverse backgrounds, races and nationalities to whom this project is more than just a job. WhiteRibbon app as well as other IT solutions can be used both in USA and globally in any other country that wants to solve domestic violence towards women. To get funding for this self-sustainable innovative project White Ribbon USA is actively pitching donors, participates in different grant calls and is open for funding and collaborations.
White Ribbon USA is gaining recognition in the US by doing joint awareness campaigns with the Veterans Association of the US and Association of Social Workers of the US, prominent athletes, actors, public figures and brands. Also Veronika Mudra and White Ribbon USA became producers of the short film “Reunited” about imperfections of international Hague Convention in domestic violence aspect. Veronika herself became a respondent in double Hague Convention case and had to protect her child from being taken away back to Ukraine even after they were granted asylum in the US. Veronika wants to give a voice to thousand of women immigrants and refugees victims of domestic violence who are seeking asylum for a better life for them and their children. White Ribbon USA is also doing collaborations with women owned brands that empower women. Veronika is wearing ARTRAMUS a brand designed by Tatyana Ramus who is a Board Member and Ambassador of the White Ribbon; she created unique fashion brand for women that uplifts spirit of freedom and creates vibes of self love, confidence and empowerment .
Veronika Mudra is also a former CEO and now a chairwoman of the White Ribbon Ukraine. When Veronika pledged to give back by helping other women and children to overcome consequences of violence and discrimination she gave her best answer and organized in Ukraine, a country where she experienced abuse, White Ribbon Campaign on the highest level: First Lady of Ukraine, Embassy of the US, Embassy of Canada, Parliament of Ukraine, National Police, Ministry of Justice, world famous soccer player Andriy Shevchenko, world boxing champions, supported Veronika’s initiative against domestic violence under White Ribbon in Ukraine.
White Ribbon USA and White Ribbon Ukraine are connected with a global White Ribbon Campaign which was founded in 1991 in Canada and became the largest in the world male initiative against domestic violence towards women. White Ribbon engages men to support and speak up against domestic abuse towards women by becoming White Ribbon Ambassadors and Advocates.
